New hardware, MotionPlus game mentioned by Miyamoto

“Did I do it again? Did I let something slip?! I just get so excited!”
As the recipient of a “Special Achievement Prize” during a symposium at the 13th Annual Japan Media Arts Festival on Saturday, Shigeru “loose lips” Miyamoto had time to spill two tidbits of information while up on stage. Not only has Miyamoto confirmed that Nintendo is working on some new hardware, but he mentioned that he is hard at work on a Wii MotionPlus game other than the upcoming Zelda title.
Let’s face it, the fact that Nintendo is working on some new hardware doesn’t require a crystal ball, or even a fortune cookie, to figure out. Nintendo has likely been working on hardware to replace both the Wii and DS since their respective launches (see: DS Lite, DSi, DSi XL). But do the amount of rumors building up as of late point to an imminent hardware announcement? That was definitely the case for that thing that Apple is making.

more storage for any new system(250G, console; 32G, handheld), HD & BluRay if possible, & the ability to transfer some console games to the new handheld would be especially cool!

Welcome to the site, now leave. Nah, I’m just joking. Seriously if you are new to Infendo then welcome to the site. The majority of us don’t really care about the list of things you mentioned, mostly because we don’t need that in a console and/or we know Nintendo is not going to be adding that stuff to the Wii/DS.
About the post. I bet he lets things slip like this to make Microsoft and Sony worry about what Nintendo is cooking up next lol

Rumoring that Nintendo is working on new hardware is about as exciting as rumoring that GM is working on a new car……No sh*t, Sherlock. On top of that, “hardware” could be anything from a controller variant (first party Wii-motes with built-in LiCad rechargeable battery, right?) to simply more worthless colors for the DS/DSi/DSLL/DSOMG/DSWTF or whatever they wanna call it now.

either way, just keep voicing your opinion. nothing wrong with that!
and yeah- bluray in a nintendo system would rock. though i’d be happy to just see some hd support.
