Sunday, September 7th, 2008 at 7:01am by David
Autumn releases are picking up and this is just the tip of the September Nintendo iceberg. Feast yer eyes on this list:
Wii
NHL 2K9
Active Life: Outdoor Challenge
Cabela’s Legendary Adventures
Hell’s Kitchen
The Price is Right
DS
Spore Creatures
Lock’s Quest
Mystery Case Files: MillionHeir
Viva Pinata: Pocket Paradise
Bratz Ponyz 2
Hell’s Kitchen
Mazes of Fate DS
The Price is Right
As excited as I am by Spore Creatures and a new Nintendo first party offering (MillionHeir), I can’t help but wonder how much fun Hell’s Kitchen and The Price Is Right will be since they’re two of my guilty pleasure TV shows. Anything on this list jumping out at you?

I might rent NHL 2k9 to see how the controls work. Could be fun.

Hey guys, sorry for lack of videos on this post. I’ll work on it.
For now, know that The Price Is Right features: “The voice of announcer Rich Fields, actual sounds and music from the show, and classic video footage will ensure an authentic experience for players.” Not a word about Bob or Drew. Or Heather Kozar.

None of these, but its the possible VC releases on Monday that will be of my interests (Possibility of Cho Aniki and Final Soldier coming Monday).

Viva Pinata: Pocket Paradise Sounds interesting, I enjoy seeing Rare on a Nintendo system !
I hope it turned out well…

I’ve been playing Spore DS for a few days now, and it’s not as fun and exciting as it sounds. Sure, it’s entertaining, but I just don’t feel this game justifies the hype going for it. That, and you have to make incredibly hideous monsters (like, super deformed to the point where you have no idea what part is its head) if you want to actually have a fighting chance in the world.

The controls for Active Life:Outdoor challenge make it a possibility. Although I’ll probably wait a while till the price drops. But I think I will eventually get it.

NHL 2K9 looks good. Opposable Thumbs said the Wii controls are awesome.

NHL 2k9 sounds good, but with wm+ just announced, i can’t help but think waiting a year for this game is a good idea. i think in general waiting a year for sports games is a good idea.

i feel sorry for the game makers that did The Price is Right, I can’t think of a more boring thing to work on. and Drew Carey is awful

Rod – no clue about TPIR for DS. Even less info available than for the Wii version.
Red Mozzie – NHL 2K9, yeah .. looking at the video I linked to up there, it looks like a blast!

I’ll wait for de Blob and Wario Land.

@steve:
Although I am a hardcore TPiR fan as well, I’d advise you not to go onto golden-road.net and say that – you would get banned in a snap!
I particularly like Drew Carey, even though Bob Barker is the original and the best (yes, I know I left out the technicalities). They each have their own styles, and for a lot of people, Drew Carey’s style doesn’t catch on with them.
But at least Drew Carey cares about everyone winning or losing – he feels so guilty for them when they don’t win. He lives paycheck to paycheck to, FYI.

So, which one do you guys think is a better “free roaming” type of creature game? Spore Creatures or Viva Piñata: Pocket Paradise? Sounds to me like they ruined the DS version with a linear RPG-style gameplay.
