New Game Get – Nintendo releases for the week ending April 19th
Sunday, April 13th, 2008 at 7:08am by David
It seems like ages since we first announced Emergency Mayhem on Infendo, but it looks like it’s finally coming out. Honestly, though, it seems like Teenage Zombies is the only good release this week. Even Nintendo Power encouraged you to play Okami on PS2!
Wii
Emergency Mayhem
Okami
DS
AMF Bowling Pinbusters!
Major League Baseball 2K8 Fantasy All Stars
Cory in the House
High School Musical 2: Work This Out!
Rondo of Swords
Teenage Zombies: Invasion of the Alien Brain Thingys!
What’s your pick this week?

Yep, I think I’ll make do with Mario Kart this week!

Even though Nintendo Power says you should playing PS2 version of Okami not everyone thinks that. IGN’s Matt Cassamasena(?) says that he prefers the Wii version.

The proper version of Okami please.

I just found the original Okami (I didn’t pick it up previous). I still have that unopened plus I got Ninja Gaiden and haven’t played it becuz of illness and working too much.
I had considered Rondo of Swords but reviews weren’t so great. What have you all heard?

All I ask of Disney is to stop making games of live action series/movies. And to bust out another Kingdom Hearts.

@RADFAG
THIS IS NOT INMSOFT… =O
LOL
Okami… great game especially on Wii! It’s the only “ok” score about it so far that i now of and if you weight that against other sites/magz scores, you’ll see that the balance leans with no doubt to the “great game” side.

The comment under this article finally cements this site as the biggest pile of sensationalist bullshit drama I’ve seen, ‘Intelligent passion’ my arse. Okami not a good release? are you freaking married to Nintendo Power or something?

i was very interested in Rondo of Swords after reading a preview on Kotaku, i’ll wait to see the general consensus before i get excited, mainly because there is no european release date (although importing is an option)
I have a PS2 and Okami looks right up my street, the only reason i didnt get it earlier was i had many other unfinshed games, and then i heard a Wii version was coming out and decided to wait for fear of missing the definitive version.
If either of those games were released in Europe this week, i’d be considering it.

I’m not really interested in Teenage Zombies, but I find it bothersome that the official webpage is 6th on google. It’s even behind a gamespot page, you’d think they’d do something about that.

…you didn’t honestly just suggest Okami wasn’t a good game, did you?
Seriously…if you’re a Nintendo fanboy and you don’t pick up Okami, you deserve all the shovelware crap the Wii is getting.

I just picked up Ninja Gaiden DS yesterday and am about 2 ours into it. I like it but it is a little repetitive. i should have rented it/bought it used.

Okami for Wii and Rondo of Swords for DS.
A word about reviews: most reviews panned Baroque and it’s one of the most unique, interesting and challenging games to be released in quite some time. I love a game that actually rewards you for dying. Good stuff.

Samfish nailed it. I’ll be picking up Okami this week, funds permitting.

Ugh. Didn’t say Okami wasn’t good. I just don’t have patience for control issues. I wanted the superior version. Eventually I will own both. And no, Nintendo power wasn’t my only source….just about every review I read mentioned controls being a challenge. I’m a single mom w 2 jobs. When I have more time, maybe I’ll be more patient.
And fanboy is a strong word. While I admire Nintendo far beyond the others, I appreciate a good game, regardless who made it.
