1080snowboarding.jpgAnother week, another game .. wait, just one game?

1080° Snowboarding - N64 - 1998 - 1,000 Wii Points
Hit the slopes for some serious shredding in one of the first truly realistic snowboarding games ever created! Start in the lodge and select from five characters, each with his/her own particular attributes and special tricks. Then take a look at the wide assortment of available boards and choose one that best suits your rider and style. Once you’ve got the gear, six different modes of play, including Match Race, Trick Attack, and 2-Player Versus, await. Pick a course and get ready to experience a sensation of speed that’ll make you forget all about the cold—but it might just send a shiver down your spine. Throw in hidden characters and boards, varying weather and snow conditions, multiple paths through each course, and a variety of tricks to master—topped off with rock-solid play control—and you’ve got a recipe for winter fun that you can enjoy any time of the year. It’s all the fun and excitement of the sport, without the bruises and frostbite!

Weird. Either they have something cooking or someone’s asleep at the wheel. I still have 200 pts left from Xmas, Nintendo, come on!

    Weak.

  4. Eric H. says...

At least I’ve heard of it.

  5. peshue says...

Well that kinda blows. At least it’s a good game though.

I’m surprised how much they’ve slowed down on releases. I’m also waiting for MM.

    “I’m also waiting for MM.”

Me too. If by MM you mean Mega Man.

Also, you knew I couldn’t leave infendo forever, right? No one’s going to write a paragraph about me liking Mega Man, right?

    Right? :)

damn they need a Megaman game…now! Why are they slowing down releases so much lately anyways?? Hmmm Ninitendo’s up to something..@_@

A bit off topic, but perhaps worth mentioning anyway:

Everytime I pass through the local EB Games, I stop to look at the Mega Man Anniversary Collection case sitting among used Gamecube games. For the reasonable price of $15, it is definitely a good deal… but is it overkill? Would buying only Mega Man 3 on Virtual Console keep me satisfied?

(Also, am I the only one honest enough to admit that the reason I love Virtual Console games is because I’m just too lazy to change discs half the time? Never having to change discs or plug in a Gamecube controller is almost worth $5 already.)

ejamer, you’re not lazy — you’re the future! Physical media formats? Who needs them?!

It is disappointing to see them slowing down. Perhaps they are preparing for the massive releases next week that will include Super Mario RPG:Legend of the Seven Stars, Chrono Trigger, and Samurai Showdown 2

I’ve got 200 points and one screen left of empty channels, but only about 300 blocks of memory left. Has anyone here allready run out of internal memory? How much of a hassle is it? I’m going to have to start putting games on an SD card before my points are down to zero, but I don’t really know anything about transfering the games or how long it will take me to transfer a game to SD and then back to Wii when I want to play it.

  13. Kale says...

It was all about Panda-Man on the Penguin Board…..

People, this is a GREAT game. Seriously. One of the first I bought for my N64 & LOOOOOVED it. Don’t knock it till you’ve tried it.

  15. Tuff Kong says...

    @Gradius Fan
I wouldn’t bother with transferring VC games to an SD card. Just delete them. You can always re-download from the shop channel if you want to play.

  16. Taylor says...

Seriously, 1080 is far from a letdown. It’s a delightful, blood-simple snowboarding game that captured my youth in the way that few sports games have.

  17. FatDaddy says...

Seriously, 1080 Snowboarding is great. I played the poop outta this game on my N64.

  18. ResidentialEvil says...

1080 Snowboarding may be a good game, but only 1 VC game seriously blows. I thought going to 2 only was bad, this is just pathetic.

  19. wii wii says...

This game was GREAT for its time.
If you liked Wave race, you will like this game.

But , only ONE friggen game this week?

    Poor.

    very, very Poor.
