Following in the footsteps of its support for MotionPlus in an upcoming tennis game, EA confirmed this week that its popular golf series, Tiger Woods PGA Tour, would also support Nintendo’s upcoming 1:1 motion control peripheral.

I think this is actually bigger news than the tennis title, as golf was one of the marquee sports marketed by Nintendo as the perfect match for motion controls. It didn’t really work out that way, as Wii Sports golf was quirky and the initial Tiger Woods Wii title was quirkier still, but 1:1 controls should iron all that out pretty smoothly.

Related to that, when is MotionPlus coming out, anyway? Is it still April?
