Nintendo’s E3 ’09 press conference brought the announcement of the Vitality Sensor and shortly thereafter specualtion about what it might be used for. This years press conference however did not even contain a mention of the device. Why was the vitality sensor completely absent from Nintendo’s press conference?
A Nintendo spokesperson told Kotaku yesterday that “the peripheral wasn’t right for the show.” It looks like Nintendo remembered this year who E3 was for. The Zelda: Skyward Sword, Donkey Kong, Mario, Kid Icarus, Star Fox 64, Paper Mario, Mario Kart, Ocarina of Time-loving fans. However, I’m still slightly disappointed that we have no idea what the Vitality Sensor will be used for.
