Making his debut in Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, Ike became leader of the Crimean Liberation Army.  He returned in Radiant Dawn to share the spotlight with Micaiah.

Game Appearances:
Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance
Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn

Ike brings mastery of a two-handed sword, which he can apparently use with just one hand.  His sword might be tough, but he may not offer enough variety to make him a worthy adversary.

Based on potential to win the brawl, how would you rank Ike?

didn’t they already announce ike on smash bros dojo? did you maybe want to announce marth?

well he looks pretty cool and i liked roy in melee so i’d consider using him.

I like Ike. Not much more I can say until March 9.

  3. GradiusFan says...

    That smash-o-meter makes no sense.

  4. Rabbitduck says...

    Yeah… I don’t get this.

This is a lame feature. Stop it.

  6. Kingbad says...

    i think its pretty creative

  7. Orieus says...

i think marth looks 110% better then ike… he can like, do 8 combos,
then combine them to make 10000000! Still the smash o metter is kinda cool!

The smash-O-meter is not cool it’s retarded. What is that number supposed to mean? There was never an explanation. How likely that character is to “win the Brawl”… what does that mean? Out of the 30-some characters? Can’t mean that the numbers are too high. It’s like this site was suddenly taken over by Miss South Carolina. Yes that one.

I asked this in part one as well: what are you basing this off of? Have you played the game? Have you watched footage of it or even just read discussions about the character? Offer some insight as to why you’ve rated the character what you did, and more importantly what you mean when you say “on potential to win the brawl”. COME ON!

I was never particularly big on Marth, who’s return I could care less about. He was a pansy. And Roy was his clone, so I didn’t really care for him either (although he was better than Marth, if you ask me).

But I’m interested in playing as Ike here and there. He appears to offer a much different play style than Marth. He’s much heavier and stronger, and seems to have a better moveset (at least where his special attacks are concerned).

However, I’m not a fan of Fire Emblem, so I didn’t exactly jump with joy upon the reveal of this character. So while he looks slightly more intriguing than the other effort offered to us, I only expect to play as him situationally (as in, when I am required to or when a particular task at hand calls for his style of play).

    On my Smash-O-Meter: %40
