Making up for its lack of online play, Mario Party: Island Tour will feature the most extensive single-card multiplayer mode of any Nintendo 3DS game released thus far. According to this morning’s Nintendo Direct, a single game card will allow up to four players to locally play all 7 of the game’s varied maps, all 80 of the mini games on offer, a Freeplay mode, and more. To encourage everyone to buy the game however, it will also feature the “mini game tower,” a single player mode that pits you against Bowser’s minions in 30 floors of mini game madness. Mario Party: Island Tour will be released on November 22nd, alongside The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds and Super Mario 3D World.

Is the newly revealed local multiplayer mode enough to entice you to purchase Mario Party: Island Tour?

In addition to being a girl gamer, Holly prides herself on being a red-head. Consequently, the blue shell in the Mario Kart series is her natural enemy. Don't worry, though: she still loves Mario Kart and is very good, despite the occasional blue shell-sabotaged race. Like any Nintendo fan, Holly also loves Zelda, Pokemon, Mario, Donkey Kong, Metroid, Kirby...you name it. But she'll try just about anything (besides horror games) and has a soft spot for unique, little-known rhythm games like Rhythm Heaven and Samba de Amigo. NNID: Aeroweth
