Lost Winds WiiWare gameplay footage
Wednesday, April 16th, 2008 at 2:12pm by JackLost Winds isn’t a WiiWare launch title, but it should be. This gameplay footage was the first I had seen for the title, which received across the board praise from every journo who attended Nintendo’s recent media summit event. Call me late to the party for that all you want, this one still looks like a keeper (better than some existing Wii games, IMO).

This looks amazing. Although flailing my arm around for countless minutes and hours might make me feel bad about this game.

I’ve been keeping up with info on this game and I wish it was a launch title too. This and Destiny’s Child look great. Actually, a lot of Wiiware games look pretty great.

Finally another developer that understands how to use the pointer!

This game is like a DS game, a DS game we’ll never play on a DS and on a single screen.

If my parents say yes, me wants the Winds that are Lost. This looks as innovative as Pikmin was, and I loved Pikmin. I also like how this game uses the pointer, and I like how SM Galaxy implimented the pointer, and this looks even better from my perspective.

Definitely looks interesting. So you control the wind to do stuff with your character, is that it?

So you kill aliens and unlock doors, is that it… So you run and jump to collect coins, is that it… So you form lines with blocks to eliminate them, is that it… So you run around an beat civilians and steal cars, is that it… So you toss a ball down a field and try to get it over a line, is that it… So you navigate a maze and eat balls, is that it…
…
Haven’t you noticed most games are built around a simple concept. This certainly has applied to the most popular.

I’ve been looking forward to this game as much as Okami on the Wii.

the controls kind of remind me of Kirby’s Canvas Curse… and I mean that in the best of ways. Canvas Curse was great, and this game looks great.

Bii, I think you misunderstod me. I know NOTHING about the game, so that was actually a question!

That game makes me angry at all of the 3rd party developers putting out craptastic shovelware, and not even with gamecube like graphics mind you, but genuine psp/ps2 ports with no updated graphics.
This game brings hope though. Innovative gameplay, good use of the wiimote plus beautiful art direction and graphics!!!!
