People over at Joystiq are all speculating that Nintendo is holding back shipments on purpose; supposedly their plan is to then release HUGE shipments for the holiday season, when shoppers spend the most money (and, of course, when MP3, SMG and SSBB will all be out!) Bottom line: I think Nintendo really is facing challenges in producing enough hardware to meet demand; the demand right now is HUGE. Nintendo is already producing 2x the hardware that Microsoft and Sony are producing, and Wii is STILL outselling competition 2-to-1 (and in many cases, even higher than that!) I just don't think this DigiWhatever source has the exact facts down. Since when are they reliable? I don’t trust DigiWhatever.
