Kirby game headed to Nintendo 3DS in 2014

This morning’s Nintendo Direct ended with a teaser trailer for a new Nintendo 3DS title featuring everyone’s favorite ball of pink puff, Kirby. The trailer suggests the graphics and gameplay will closely resemble those of Kirby’s Return to Dream Land for Wii, so it’ll probably be a very traditional Kirby game. The minute-long trailer shows Kirby switching from the foreground to the background and vice versa, so it seems the game will make some use of the 3DS’s stereoscopic capabilities. It also shows what looks like a new enemy power for Kirby’s absorption in the form of a stag beetle-like getup that can impale enemies (suhweeeet!), and finally some kind of power-up that gives Kirby the ability to suck up absolutely anything, even terrain.

Man I’m getting behind on 3DS games already. Still need to play Fire Emblem, Luigi’s Mansion 2, soon the new Zelda, this and now tons of WiiU games. A good problem to have!

I’m having the same problem! I only just got Paper Mario: Sticker Star, and I haven’t even been able to play because I’m too occupied with Pikmin 3 right now. And don’t even get me started on Pokemon Y when it comes out…life as we know it will cease to exist until I finish. 🙂

But if you haven’t played Fire Emblem yet, I’d recommend putting it as high as possible on your priorities list. It’s absolutely phenomenal. 😀
