Action and platforming, but brought up to the level of art. Screenshots of Muramasa don’t do it justice. Check out some videos of this incredible game online, but please understand it looks even better on your TV.

I say boo the the Beatles and am sure the hard core gamers would die over you saying that Dead Space was better on Wii. All in all, it’s a nice list.
yes i’ll agree to removing the beatles. great band, not a top ten game for me though. i can agree with all of the rest. the nsmbwii is an awesome game, the wife and i agree it feels like where smb3 left off. great to see the kooplings causing trouble again.
Man, this has not been a good year for the Wii. I’m guessing Metriod Trilogy doesn’t count since it’s not anything new?
uggg, too many ads to make it through the whole list. 1 game per page? Even IGN doesn’t do that.
No love for excitebots?? That game did the impossible, it made mariokart wii boring!
Good list besides Beatles Rock Band. Little King’s Story should have taken its place for sure. Other than that, solid list. Don’t think you guys missed anything else.
Though I would say I enjoyed ExciteBike: World Rally a lot, though it was a WW title.
And I like how each page was quick and tot the point, though I would have put 2 on each page.
Yeah, Little King Story represents what is good and pure about the Wii Console, Beatles Rock band, although great wasn’t a Wii game.
I don’t know about Wii Sports Resort and Beatles Rock Band, but I would like to add the Conduit to the list. It has been a good year for the Wii, not a great one but a good one. I still have quite a few games that I need to finish up that are going to keep me going well into 2010.
I donno, i really wanted to like the conduit but I was kind of let down. The story and enemies were just to generic and boring, i never finished it.
I didn’t play beatles, but the opening sequence is enough to make me like it. What a great homage.
EXCITE BOTS TRICK RACING. It’s arguably the best racing game on the Wii. This is quite an omission. It deserves at least an honorable mention. It’s too bad that this game never got the praise it deserved. Most Wii owners have never even heard of it. This game is insanely over the top ridiculous entertainment and tons of fun!
#1 ————> Little King’s Story
That’s it.
Little King’s Story was robbed.
And Shattered Memories was the best Wii game released this year, which sort of renders this list moot, IMO. Sorry, but it’s an absolute masterpiece and easily one of the most engrossing, affecting games I’ve ever played.
I marathoned through a good chunk of A Boy and His Blob last night (father-in-law bought it for me for Christmas). OMG! Absolutely amazing. I know the game is by Wayforward/Majesco, but it feels more like Nintendo and Studio Ghibli got together and made the E.T. game we never got. (It’s not too much a stretch between jelly beans and Reese’s Pieces, right?) To hell with motion controls, I had the most fun I’ve had in a long time with a game.
I too would add Little Kings Story to the list. Is this an ‘oops’ moment and the wish for a do-over or was it consciously left off?
