The Conduit (June 23)

To say The Conduit has built its reputation on pre-release hype would be an understatement. That said, there is no doubt whatsoever about High Voltage’s passion. They’ve literally put everything they have into this title, from endlessly customizable control schemes, the graphics, 16-person online multiplayer, to the developers outreach efforts, which eventually saw this publisher-less game picked up by Sega. Questions remain about how deep the title really is, and whether or not it can differentiate itself from the endless stream of Halo and other sci-fi first-person shooter clones. That such a title is on the Wii could be its saving grace though, as the console isn’t exactly known for shooters.
