No Infendo Radio this week
Saturday, February 2nd, 2008 at 12:02pm by Blake
Hey everyone. Scott and Kyle are on vaca this week, so regrettably, there’ll be no Infendo Radio. We’ll return to our regular schedule next Saturday with a ton of new calls, and excellent discussion as always. In the meantime, please gift us with your podcast feedback in the comments. What do you like? What don’t you like? What should we do more of? And what other show gives us a run for our money? Cheers!

Hi. Love your show and intelligent discussions. I also listen to thewiire’s podcast and IGN’s podcast. A question, my four year old son loves create mii’s and have no problems using the wiimote.
Can you recommend a game that suit his age?
Greatest regards, Marten from Sweden

I love the show and I’m liking the longer episodes. You guys are able to do a video game podcast and sound reasonably professional.
My first suggestion for the show is to treat some of the calls and emails you get with a bit more respect. There are some cases where I feel that you’re giving the person who made the call or put in the email a bit of a hard time.
New game get, gaming history and the other small show bits are great. It’d be nice to have some shorty reviews for games. Basically similar to the small summarized reviews you see on rottentomatoes.com and is it a avoid, renter or buy.

Eh.. what?

A week without Infendo Radio is going to be like a week without sunshine. Which is kind of like last week. Stupid winter.
My only suggestion would be to keep the good stuff going. Your discussion is great, and I enjoy the regular features. Maybe more reviews, but I love the show already.

The show needs more cowbell.
Plain n simple.

Infendo Radio is the best videogame podcast PERIOD! If I could come up with any suggestion, it would be that each show gives a little feature on overlooked titles for any Nintendo platform. (preferably titles that are still somewhat easy to find) I think it would be a neat thing to add to the show and it would let people know about the rare gems out there that didn’t make huge sales. Just a thought.
Also, you could start each show with a remix of a different song from various Nintendo games. Obviously, the ocremix.org website could provide the source material as well as creative Infendo listeners, perhaps.

Can the Mighty Blake run a show Solo?
I know you have the techno to record a show man, Even if its only a half hour of just news.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!! I say make a podcast every week no matter what. I miss it when there is no show. I look forward to this all week. Me and my friend listened from school and laughed at parts. Good times.

I really like your reviews on games where you let us know f you liked games and what you liked about them.
Also, did Kyle ever give MP3:corruption a second try? Almost near the end of it and it’s awesome.

15 minute Blake Snow Cast! Who’s with me?
February 2nd, 2008 at 8:58 pm
Yo, wut up yo. I really dig the infendo site and the podcast. By the way did you know that “infend” is a real word that means “to create something that can later subsist on its own without help, or to teach that quality to a human or other creature”, isn’t that what god does? You mormons out in Utah are always making everything so… spiritual. Eh, Mitt Romney’s got my vote I guess.
Whoops got way off track. I like the podcast, Scott has a good “radio” voice. The only annoyance is when you guys are wrong about stuff/are confused about things. Doesn’t happen often. Example? Comparing Pokemon Snap to Endless Ocean. You have obviously never played Snap or you would know the games are not that similar. Snap is an “on-rails” shooter only instead of shooting with a gun you take pictures. Same trip down the sme path every time. Endless Ocean is more about exploration, correct? I’ve got both games (n64 for snap, haven’t tried the VC version). Both are fun but Pokemaon Snap really has a lot more in common with RE Umbrella Chronicles than Endless Ocean.

Agreed!

Damnit my Saturday is ruined now!

awesome show, love how it usually hovers around the hour mark, as opposed to the 40 minutes it used to be. scott turns every podcast he does into gold, and blakes hardcore funny. kyle….well, he’s kyle. no, seriously you guys do a great job.
only suggestion i have, even the show is kinda improvised as you go along, maybe do a bit of research beforehand. Scott and Kyle trying to think of the name of Medal of Honor Heroes 2 for like 5 minutes was kinda sad… Blakes so prepared and such a huge gamer, if he wasn’t absent for that episode like he was, he would’ve shouted the name out in a split second. he’s the expertise glue that keeps the show together.
keep it up guys

Vacation? Nobody approved that.

I mostly agree with cole (and Kyle’s review of No More Heroes has been the best I’ve read/heard so far)… But I don’t expect all of you to have a lot of experience with the games that came out that week, especially when it takes so long for us to complete a game! Maybe if you guys concentrate on each one’s experience that week with a Nintendo product, even if it is a game from last year.
Other than that, the only thing I don’t like about the show is when it doesn’t happen. I’ve listened to other gaming podcasts and yours is still the best!

Hey Guys,
I’ve been listening to your show now for three months and must say I look forward to it each Saturday (I’ve only had the Wii for three months…I ditched Nintendo after the Cube and was recently brought back by Galaxy)!
But you asked for feedback so here goes!
–> More reviews
–> What Brian said above…Talk about overlooked games/gemz. Or the adverse, talk about over-hyped upcoming games.
–> More Debate! You don’t have to rip each others heads off, but there’s nothing like a good intelligent (and funny) discourse to dissect the finer and not so finer aspects of Nintendo
–> Kinda of like Keith Oberman’s Worst Person of the Week. Have a worst review of the week! This would be where you take a review off a gaming website and talk about how wrong they were and how they were fired (Blake this could be tough for you b/c you write for Gamepro…but ehh…who cares…offend them all!!)
Well, thats it, keep up the good work!
P.S….The only show that give you a run for your money is the Wiik in Review (only b/c they are privy to inside info and preview copies =)
