Blake and Kyle rip through some Nintendo goodness and then have a little dessert. No really, thanks, I’m stuffed. Okay, well, if you insist!

I was thinking more going back to old series,
like probably a new Kid Icarus.
However, I would really like to see a new Animal Crossing title.

Kyle you were an amazing host for this episode. Nice Job!

Not enough podcasters talking with Asian accents if you ask me.

The new episode was agonizingly short. Scott keeps things moving and inserts fresh conversation topics frequently. I feel more development and notes would have made the episode feel more fleshed out. As it is, I felt like I was on a downhill ride the whole time.

It was short, but still quality. I think Kyle should always be the moderator and have Blake and Scott bantering back and forth, IMO.
Anyways, I can’t believe how much I was agreeing with Blake. My experience online with MoH: Heroes 2 was identical to Blake’s. I would fire like 100 rounds into a guy, and nothing, but he was shot once with his pistol and I was dead. It was an extremely frustrating experience. The single player campaign was not affected by this though, which still make the game solid.
I as well was in the minority, but I love the Wii-Mote sideways. Not sure if it is the simplicity of the buttons, but I really never got into Melee because of the Gamecube/Wavebird controller setup. Side fighters like SSB need a D-pad and the Cube’s just isn’t big enough.
However, I am still experiencing the same non-connectivity issues when trying to randomly play opponents in Brawl. The other day I was home sick from work and played at like 9:30am (EST) and I connected and played for quite some time. I tried again at 5:00pm (EST) and same issue. Can’t find any players to connect to. This has been the only downfall of the game IMO.
I will be adding my Friend Code to the list in hopes I can at least play some friend match-ups.

Kyle is a way better emcee than myself, but I missed Scott’s relaxed humor.

Great job, guys!!
And yes, the episode was short, but that is expected when you reduce the number of MCs…
I always agreed with Blake on the Excite Truck Wii controls: that is the best layout for a racing game on Wii! Having the buttons facing upwards makes the steering similar to a jet simulator more than a car, but it works really well when you have to use buttons on a wheel. That’s why I don’t think the future wheel in Mario Kart Wii is going to work for me…
As for this “surprise franchise”, my vote goes to either Animal Crossing or Pikmin, although Pikmin wasn’t big enough to warrant so much anticipation, even though for me it would be bigger than AC. But either one will be greatly welcomed in my Wii!

Another good show, guys.
As for Brawl controls…for me, nothing compares to the accuracy, speed and ease of use provided by the GameCube controller. This is somewhat unfortunate; Brawl is a Wii game, after all, and I was hoping to use Wii controls for it. But I also refuse to settle for less than stellar controls, and no Wii options have provided that for me yet.
Of course, I’ve been playing Smash Bros. with a GameCube controller for more than half a decade, and it could be that I simply am more comfortable with those controls because of the familiarity factor. So keep that in mind when considering my opinion.
I am still waiting for an Excite Truck sequel before buying that game. The first one was fun, but too flawed to warrant a purchase, in my opinion. Lack of multiplayer and online modes really hurt that one. Hopefully, Nintendo nails it with the sequel, which may or may not come.
Oh, and great job hosting, Kyle.

PS: I’m telling you, Nintendo is announcing the return of Kid Icarus at E3.

I think it’s going to be Wii Music.
