Geometry Wars does not seem to allow the Wavebird… I have not tried the cordded GCN controller… which was disappointing…. The Wiimote + Nunchuck is doable, but is a bit odd. I’ll probably have to get the Classic controller.

On the “subtitles” in DS games:
I think the manufacturers want to give the impression with the title that you are not getting a DS version of the console game (or board game in the case of Warhammer), but a completely different side experienced based on the fuller version of the game. Like a “side quest”…

Slowly I get the feeling that Nintendo is actually (normally I would never imply such a outrageous thing for a profit-orientated company)… but just look at the picture I took some days ago in a local electronics store over here in Europe… and it never was otherwise.

Every shop I visited this week had literally HUNDREDS of Wiis in stock… so either
a) demand is MUCH higher in North America,
b) Nintendo has idiotic supply strategies
c) OR it’s an intentional strategy to keep the “mythos of the hard sought after” Christmas present alive.
That’s it – I can’t think of anything else.
