Bully fell under the radar for a lot of PS2 owners probably due to the hype of the next-gen consoles. It was a good game and releasing it on Wii would bring in more players that wouldn’t have otherwise known about it.

no, bully sold decently at arounf 700,000 units, but it didnt do as well as it should because rockstar decided to give it a bad taste in many peopels mouth with its failed attempt to scare the media.

rockstar was the ones not letting out the true nature of the game and allowing the media to hype false statements. i remember the time well, and rockstar has a habit of thinking that any news is good news, and while in most fields thats true, it is not in gaming.

they got lots of media exposure but of the wrong kind. we will see if they learn there lesson with the next easily misunderstood game they make, but it was all on them with bully and they failed to let the truth out early.

Oh my GOD you three?!? You never heard of Sadness?

This is a horror survival game in the setting around in the late 1930’s Scandinavia (Or somewhere in Europe) before WWII (Or was it before WWI in the 1910’s). Anyway, this is made from an independent development team, Necris, that is making the entire game in black and white (ala Sin City).

Sorry for the second post, the other game from Grasshopper is called No More Heroes, and both of these games i’m looking forward, but right now Sadness is almost close to the same status as Project HAMMER, vaporware.

Actually, the team (supposedly) developing Sadness is Nibris.

I am extremely skeptical of this game. We have known about the game since well before the release of Wii, and yet we still have no relevant information in terms of gameplay, screens, or video. Character concepts and videos are nothing more than that…concepts.

It is a shame, because Sadness was a talking point for Wii fans touting how Nintendo’s new console would be a welcoming platform for indie developers who couldn’t afford developments costs on 360 and PS3. This was an unknown developer coming forward with a cool-looking game for an innovative consolel; there was a reason we were (and some of us are still) so excited about it.

As cool as the concepts behind Sadness seem, I fear that this potentially interesting game will never be anything more than a collection of ideas.
