Infendo Radio 128 – Holiday Gift Guide
Tuesday, December 2nd, 2008 at 10:25pm by David
Join Kyle, Will, and me as we chat about the great game gifts for the holidays as well as FPS controls, Banjo-Kazooie, and we get a special phone call from a famous Nintendo celebrity!
So put down that tree and be sure to leave some comments or give us a call on the Infendo Radio Hotline: 206-338-BIGN (206-338-2446) after the show!
And before you ask, the background music for this episode is Super Mario’s Sleigh Ride by the OneUps and is available here.

I love you guys. All the podcasts I listen to have not updated for about two weeks due to Thanksgiving. Finally, my long hours at work will be accompanied by your beautiful voices.

3rd person shooter you guys didn’t mention – Dead Space. That could be cool on Wii with a graphical upgarde.

The Godfather, which looked terrible on the Wii, is a 3rd person shooter a la Grand Theft Auto, which was completely ignored on the show.
Granted GTA isn’t on the Wii, but as far as 3rd person goes, it’s kinda king.
Also, Dead Rising is 3rd person (is there shooting or just bashing??). Survival horror games are almost always in 3rd person. So are stealth games like Metal Gear Solid and Splinter Cell.
A lot of 3rd person stuff is last generation, imho. Not that it’s a dead format by any stretch of the imagination, just that it doesn’t seem to be quite as popular.
As far as the Wii goes, there is little to nothing for 3rd person shooters.
