David, I feel the complete opposite about MLB Power Pros. I hate the DS version (batting sucks without the analog, imho, and the complete lack of features) and I really, really, REALLY love the Wii version.
The DS version was such a let down to me because the Japanese version has so many more features. So, I’m hoping that next year they actually develop a real game and not just an exhibition mode.

I’m sort of with you on Mario Sluggers, David.
I’m reviewing it this week for another site, and I have mixed feelings. It’s fun…but it falls obscenely short of what a Mario Baseball offering could be on Wii. Like you and almost everyone, I wanted Wii Sports baseball with full control, deeper gameplay and Mario characters. But we only got some of that…a truly mixed bag.
I think it is worth noting, though, that Nintendo didn’t actually develop the game. Namco Bandai developed and Nintendo published. Pile this on the list of games that prove Nintendo should NEVER outsource first-party IP.
