I remember the Sweet , Groundbreaking, Wii screenshots of RED Steel.

Then, I remember being disappointed as I saw the game in motion, realizing it was a render , a BullShot.

Hope this is not the same, but I am betting it is….

    @ Wii Wii
    what game is it?
if its the conduit then i think is not (based on the videos shown at E3, it runs as sweet as it looks)

Looks like a screenshot from Black on the original Xbox.

    @ Wii Wii,

Red Steel is UibSoft. It was a Wii launch title. Enough said.

I was hoping for more info on the Conduit, but oh well. From the gameplay footage it looks rather unoriginal to me.

David: Braid is coming to the PC later in the fall. Since I don’t have a 360 I’m waiting for that release. It’s sounds like it’s definitely worth checking out.

The discussion about Australia’s classification board was more than a little disappointing.

    1. Don’t confuse the OFLC with the legislation. Yes, it’s dodgy that it’s had to ban certain games, but that’s the politicians’ fault. There is no 18+ classification, so any game that isn’t suitable for a 15-year-old must be refused classification (ie, banned). The OFLC has been pushing to harmonise the games system with the film system, including by adding an adult category. So don’t blame them.

    2. Even if they were responsible for the abovementiobed policy, how does that affect whether you “trust” the OFLC in relation to games that have been classified? Surely the fact that it has made it through amore stringent process means the game is more likely to be released, not less?

    3. The application for classification in Australia requires the submission of an actual, working copy of the game. Not the final version, but it must be playable from beginning to end. So that’s further evidence that Disaster is nearly ready for release.

I started up a topic thread in the infendo forums to further discuss this week’s episode. Feel free to keep the discussion going there.

I think Black looked better…that little tank on this one looks like a toy…

David, if you like Metal Slug, check out the collection that came out for the Wii. I bought mine for $20. I’d buy it again before I go out and buy the SNK collection as Metal Slug is the only one that has replayability imho.
