It was awsome!!! except for the finger pulse reader. What is with that thing!!!!!

  2. Marcus says...

While I did enjoy the suprise at both Metroid: Other M and SMG2, I didnt enjoy that fact that yet again they arnt investing in new IPs.

Also, nothing new for the Wii itself. No new channels, No new features.

Microsoft conference >>>>> Nintendo Conference by far.

It was okay. There were some great announcements but they were balanced out by some really lame stuff.

  4. Marcus says...

    Also, NO ZELDA WII!

No footage, No teaser, Not one word!

  5. garyaga says...

It was ok, it is going to be another dominate year for nintendo they do have games for everybody. All they were missing was the one game to blow people away.

  6. Paul says...

The energy was pretty low, but the games look interesting.

  7. Carlos says...

    it was okay

  8. Stan says...

    ERECTION FOR METROID!

Excited for both Mario Wii titles, Sports Resort and Metroid but I agree – I’m a bit dissapointed there’s new IP – or at least a revival of an old franchise (well thought it was Kid Icarus when the Metroid trailer went up through the clouds :P ).

That Wii finger thing looks like the most pointless fucking peripheral I’ve ever seen.

I’m with Marcus on this one, Microsofts was better – and I don’t even own a 360, or intend to own one.

Natal (even though I don’t think it will take off) >>>> Wii Finger Thing

    Where’s my Pikmin… :’-(

I think Nintendo did exactly what they wanted to this year. 4 Mario games announced, a new Metroid, more info about WS resort, and pushing the Wii Motion plus.
It was somewhat low key, but I think that was a reaction to last year when they looked pretty foolish.
My biggest complaint would be to have Mr. President only talk for a minute or two, and leave the longer speeches to a better speaker (or at least a native speaker).
Everyone thought Cammie was going to make a fool of herself, but I think she did an OK job of presenting her material. Boring? a bit, but better than being foolish.

The show was alright i guess…Microsoft’s was way better I’m sad to say.

-I was very happy with the announcement of SMG2 (that saved the show).

-The new Metroid honestly looks bad. Did they think that it could even compare to Prime?

-New Super Mario Bros. Wii looks decent, but honestly? Especially after leading us on with that 4D nonsense!

-I was pleased to see more Wii Sports resort, although not much new or exciting in that category.

-The rest of the show was terrible casual nonsense that bored me to death. I spent the 1st hour of the show reading Consumer Reports best rated Digital SLR Camera guide.

-What the FUCK was that awful finger thing? Ughhhh….I’ve been so let down.

    -NO ZELDA WHAT THE HELL.

But I guess to look at the upside of things I have Super Mario Galaxy 2, No More Heroes 2, Red Steel 2, and Wii Sports Resort to look forward too. And all the while I’ll be crying over the Zelda announcement that could have been.

If I had to rate the show from One to Ten, it would get a Four.

I thought it was bloody awful. People will point to the announcements of SMG2 and Metroid as saving it, but for 50 mind numbing minutes I was listening to the exact same spiel I’ve been hearing for the last three conferences.

I’m sure the new Mario Bros. Wii game will be fun, but I hate the overly clean visual style of NSMB. Also I can’t believe some of the shovelware they were showing at E3 for the DS. Nintendo are far and away my favourite company and have always been so but I’m really losing the faith.

The MS conference imho, while not having too many games that cater to my personal tastes, was how an E3 conference should be done.

  14. reinhold says...

No Zelda was a big disappointment. We’re three years into the life of this console, and still not a nugget of info about a Zelda title developed for the Wii from the ground up!

  15. DmNt says...

I thought it was okay. Certainly an improvement from last years, but Microsoft really set the bar high on this one. Metroid looks interesting and Mario Galaxy 2 is nice. But that vitality thing, wtf?

  16. Roddy says...

I was ok. But for me, Nintendo already won E3 with Tales of Monkey Island. :p

  17. Mohan says...

Best I can remember in recent history!

  18. Ryuukuro says...

I don’t understand why people expect Nintendo to turn water into wine and then resurrect the dead–even if they do resurrect their old IPs every year.

There is much for me to be excited for. New Super Mario Bros Wii looks hot. Since I’m the only Nintendo fanboy in the world who can’t tolerate 3D Mario games, NSMBWii makes me extremely happy. And even at that, I’m still excited for SMG2 just because. I might even rent it although I’ll likely throw tantrums at the game.

The new Metroid game looks good too. I’ve BEEN stoked for the new Mario RPG since winter. And the minor mention of a Kingdom Hearts DS game makes the part of me that likes so-wrong-its-right crossovers extremely excited.

This is a great E3 for me and this is just Nintendo’s portion. I’m really excited to see what the other consoles and companies have to offer. Even if I can’t afford to buy most of the games I see, I’m always happy to see new titles and concepts.

And for those of you who are whining about no new IPs: I agree with you, but if any of you are the same people who whined about Captain Rainbow or the Tingle game (especially if your first response to them was “ghay”) then you’re getting exactly what you asked for and just what you deserve.

  19. Lite (on a crappy PC!!) says...

Automatically awesome for having a new Metroid.
