Karnov was awesome. It’s major flaw was that the d-pad also changed what secondary item you used, so anytime you would walk you would switch items! It was horrific. Somebody needed to tell Data East about the Select button.
forgotten i think not, but i will agree with Will that game was freakin hard as a kid. i haven’t gone back as an adult to see how i’d fare, but in the 80’s i could only get so far before giving up and plugging in top gun. sweet memories
Yeah I beat this game back in the day. It wasn’t the easiest, but I remember being a heck of a lot frustrating then the Ninja Gaiden games. (At least to me.) If I remember right, it used items in a unique way.
Now I want to play it again…

I’ll never forget Karnov, one of my favorites from back in the day. It doesn’t get much better than a Russian Circus performer who can spit fire!

I was playing that same game about a month ago I love it and get frustrated to death with it but it holds well with my many nes games
