Nostalgia is a game that is set in an alternate real world 19th-century Earth. In this alternate world people have control over magic and electronic technology has declined in favor of Steam Punk style technology. However, the most interesting thing about Nostalgia is that the game that is suppose to give you that Nostalgic feeling of playing an old school Super Nintendo RPG. While giving you a completely new experience that is refreshing, something most Final Fantasy Role Playing Game can’t give you.

The game puts you in the shoes of Eddie who is a young London born rich kid. Eddie’s father happens to be a very well known adventurer, who has seen the wonders of the world ten times over and has amassed riches from all his adventures. However, one day Eddie’s father disapears and it’s up to Eddie to figure out what happened to him.

You soon find out that he is not in London and you quickly create a plan to get an airship. Airships in Nostalgia are actually steam powered dirigibles/zeppelins that actually travel at high speeds through the sky, and are pimped out with all sorts of steam punk weapons. From a giant sword sticking off the bow, to various cannons on either side of the ship. This is where Nostalgia is different from most RPG’s. Usually when you are flying in the air on your airship you can’t get attacked or have random battles; In Nostalgia you not only have to fight random monsters as you navigate the open skies, you will also have to fight other ships too.

The key thing about Nostalgia is that you have an entire world to explore. You’ll explore all sorts of mysterious foreign locales, such as Cairo, Tokyo, South America, and many others. You’ll also be slaying all manner of mythological and fantasy enemies dealing with the local mythologies and legends. You’ll also be exploring all types of dungeons that range from the great pyramids, to the great wall, and will feature a variety of thrilling quests. Until you finally defeat some RPG unfathomable evil, and save the world and become a hero.
