Blabbermouth has posted footage of an early teaser trailer for the forthcoming Metallica version of Guitar Hero due out in 2009.
The video prompts players to “unleash your inner metal god” while Metallica’s seminal 1986 thrash classic “Master of Puppets” plays in the background. Very metal, though it shows no in-game footage.
Widely considered the “Heavy Metal CNN,” Blabbermouth reports the footage is included on the Guitar Hero: World Tour game disc.
Metallica’s latest album Death Magnetic will be available as DLC for Guitar Hero: World Tour, which also includes the individual song “Trapped Under Ice” from their 1984 album Ride the Lightning.

I don’t understand why they played Master of Puppets if the tagline said “Ride the Lightning”. Seems ActiBlizzard needs a more metal-savvy marketing department.
Also, the GH mix of Death Magnetic sounds sooo much better than the CD, do yourself a favor and download it (after purchasing a copy of the CD, of course
.)
I got the Death Magnetic tracks for GH3 (transferable to GH World Tour) on 360, and I am VERY satisfied with the songs both sound-wise as meko mentioned but gameplay-wise too. The songs play very well and give quite a challenge. Almost all the songs are 7-8 minutes longs, prepare for some endurance tests, Wii owners.
Wait, people still like Metallica?
Honestly, what is so great about these has-beens.
Sigh… my “shakes head” tag in the previous post is invisible. Silly html being too literal.
