Infendo reader, Brysson found a surprise on his doorstep today, a free Guitar Hero faceplate. It appears Activision is giving out free faceplates to customers that had their disks replaced due to the mono sound issue. It’s been a while since we’ve seen some good’ol customer service from a company besides Nintendo. Lets just hope they have enough to pass around.

That’s awesome! They didn’t even spin it. No mention of free faceplates for the inconveinence. They just quietly did the right thing. Good show, Activision.
I’ve also received one as well this morning. You know, I may just pick up the Aerosmith version later this year because of this free gift. Good job guys!
This is some welcome news, after all the trouble Activision’s had with the customer email leaks and slow service. I got an email a few days ago that my disc was received, so hopefully it won’t be too much longer until they ship it out.
I’m glad they’re giving out the faceplate, I haven’t been able to track down a Wii one yet; I don’t even know if they’re actually available at retail yet. That’s a pretty awesome looking design.
Crap! I better get my disc sent in! I got my envelope a couple weeks ago but I’ve been lazy.

I got the faceplate about 3 weeks after I got my replacement disc back.
I got mine the first day I read this. It was funny to get done reading this and open the door and their it was. Almost like christmas. lol
I just got a wii GH3 for my birthday and just seen you get free face plates, how do I go in about getting that myself?
Only customers who received a GH3 replacement disc were sent free faceplates, Lisa. The initial shipments of GH3 Wii discs had a mono-only audio flaw. The problem has been remedied in new shipments.
