Fan made Metroid 2 remake looks awesome
Tuesday, June 16th, 2009 at 11:32pm by Sean B.DoctorM64 says there weren’t a lot of Gameboy’s in Argentina back in the 90’s, but it seems that hasen’t stopped him from remaking one of the console’s greats on the PC. It looks great – so great I wish we could see it as a WiiWare release. Hint-hint, Nintendo?

@ Fuzz:
What you did there, I see it. And what’s your actual username on this site, if this isn’t your first time posting here?
Honestly though…
If Nintendo actually remade Metroid 2, it would look exactly like that, with a few minor tweaks. This is just fansmanship at its best. This makes me want to go and try to fly off a cliff, out of sheer ecstacy.

Ohhh! Those are supposed to be spindly legs on the beat metroid? I always just though the thing looked like a skull.

Pretty slick. One of the greatest portable games ever made.

I never did finish Metroid 2, I couldn’t manage to traverse the area before the final boss when i last tried… maybe Ishould go back and try again
Looks a lot to me like Metroid Zero Mission on the GBA. I’m always for 2d metroid games though.

Well, I always do and always will say that Metroid: Zero Mission was and is one of the best 2-D Metroid games I’ve ever played next to Metroid II: Return Of Samus . Although, the way how they made the re-make look in that video. It’s good and all, but where was that final boss you face at the end. All in all with me, I still say Nintendo needs to get to work in re-making a Metroid II re-make for DS. If not that or an ENTIRELY NEW Metroid game for WiiWare made not too shortly after the events of Metroid Fusion . I mean, hey, Samus’s adventures don’t end that too easily, right guys.

Strangely enough, I have been playing my way through Metroid 2 again over the past week. This remake looks absolutely fantastic! I’d love to see this on actual GBA hardware.

Looks fantastic. Very nice job on colour and modernising Samus’ movement.
