What we have here is a fan made live action movie set to be released on the internet in the next month or so. This movie is supposedly suppose to be about one hour and thirty minutes long, which is amazing for a fan made movie that is a no-budget film. You can check out more information about the movie at the Mega Man Movie Site or by searching more information at the directors site.

Wow 0.0 that looks so amazing, way above the quality of any other fan movie I’ve seen, the only bad thing I could see in that is the lack of better sets. I mean, it looks amazing, the special effects in it like when mega man flies down to the ground look great, but it could do with better sets, like when he’s fighting (no idea if this is the right name, never really played many mega man games) electric man? and it looks like the fight’s going on in his back yard, would really benefit from an arena set that can take damage as mega man fires at electric man and misses – hits a wall or something. Though saying that, maybe I’m just to used to higher budget films like Iron Man

Despite that, I can’t wait to see this when it releases!

The only thing I can say is that it looks low budget. The story points all look faithful, the acting isn’t too cringe-worthy, there’s even some Protoman tease in there (oops, Blues, perhaps). Looking forward to this.

Oops! I meant to say that the only _negative_ thing is that it looks low budget. Like I said, the tone and direction look to be a good fit for a dramatic take on the source material.

Aside from Dr. Light, did they PURPOSELY go out of their way to find the UGLIEST possible actors to play everybody. And Dr. Wily is played by William Murderface.

Crap. Didn’t mean to hit submit so soon. Anyway, as I was saying. Aside from all the actors being mugly, it looks pretty incredible for being an independent fan movie. The robot master look a little on the goofy side, but that’s to be expected outside of a Michael Bay budget. And then the entire movie would be one long exploding freeway car chase. (Maybe they could do that for the opening of the Mega Man X movie.)

Other than Dr. Light and Rock the actors are all sorts of horrible. The effects look pretty damn good for a tiny budget film.

Please let us know when the actual movie is done!

Uwe Boll, eat it. This is definitely not bad for a fan-made so-low-you-can-barely-see-it budget, but I fear that because of the look, the nods to the game may actually make it come off as too silly (because of the serious tone of the trailer).

Also, not a big fan of the robots punching each other instead of shooting stuff.

This is truly one of the strangest combinations of ridiculously awesome and ridiculously horrible I’ve ever seen.

The actors for Light and Wily are just brilliant, but then Mega Man is frustratingly bland and Roll is well… going to be the next Jar Jar.

    Good luck to them.

I suggest this just turn into a “Light and Wily roommates in the city” ala Flight of the Conchords extravaganza. Wily acting all crazy and Light acting all condescending.

    Sounds great.

Has anyone here actually played a Mega Man game?
Do you have any idea how WRONG this looks? :P

It definitely looks interesting… in that “horrible train wreck you can’t look away from” way. Also, Roll: Pre or post-op?

    Also, Roll: Pre or post-op?

    OK, now that’s harsh.

I thought the actress Roll was the saving grace of the film so far.
She’s adorable, as Roll should be.

Too bad these are twenty-something year old actors instead of teenagers like a true game adaption would have demanded.

Also, too bad they couldn’t give Wily gray hair, or even hair that looks, like, well…..Dr. Wily’s hair. Everything about this movie aside from Roll’s outfit and her cheery personality is wrong, wrong, wrong.
And don’t get me started on the robot masters. :(

Oh man. I’m totally gonna watch this. That trailer, though not a Blockbuster quality, is great for a fan-made film. I’ve loved the 9 games in the Mega Man series, so seeing this will be hilarious.

    “no budget”

Ha! You make me laugh, Will. Just from the trailer I can see that this film has a lot of dough poured into it. From the high quality camera-work and the expensive digital effects this is anything but “no budget.” I’m definately interested in it. Hopefully the film stands up to the trailer.

“From the high quality camera-work and the expensive digital effects this is anything but “no budget.” ”

    You……you’re kidding……right?

  16. redjarman says...

Even though a lot of the special effects look like they were pulled straight from the original Power Rangers (Except the warp in, that was cool), this still looks like a really good movie.

  17. Jamie says...

    @ Gojiguy
all that stuff can be done from within iMovie in about 30 minutes…

    @redjarman
I think that warp in was in power rangers too, they often teleported to the scene and now that I think about it it’s actually quite similar, especialy the movie!
I’m sure I shouldn’t know the power rangers at my age… lol oh well
