Eternal Darkness trademark renewed!
A perfect opportunity to show what the Vitality sensor can do

A month or so ago it seemed that Nintendo had given up on the Eternal Darkness trademark/patent as they let it expire without even a nod at its existence; however, yesterday, it seems that Nintendo does care and has renewed the trademark/patent on the games name. While we are probably won’t see a new title for this game in a while. Eternal Darkness’s style and game play would be perfect for a Vitality Sensor game.

Seeing as how Eternal Darkness is built around messing with the players head. A few examples of this would be warning screens popping up that your system is corrupted or having your character slowly fall apart on screen making it look like they died.

So it seems like a no brainer that Nintendo would convert it to a vitality sensor game. Would you play it?

I read about this on NeoGAF, turns out it was mentioned in a very non-chalant manner on the 4 guys 1up podcast. I listened to that cast and I missed it.
This is very exciting news, I don’t even care if its a Wii make.
Wii vitality sensor would justify its existence with this game. A real time fear meter would be stupendous. Problem is, the thing plugs into the bottom of the Wii-mote, so unless it forces you to own two Wii-motes, or controls like Animal Crossing City Folk without the nun-chuck, I don’t see it working out.
    Still exciting to think about.

ED is certainly in the running for my favorite GC game. I’d gnaw my foot off for a vitality sensor requiring sequel.

    New Play Control! Eternal Darkness?

… I jest. That would be quite awesome.

Instead of a sanity meter, it would rely on your vital stats via the sensor. That would be awesome.

My favorite GC game and 1 of my top 5 favorite games of all time. It would be absolutely amazing if they implemented the vitality sensor for this bad boy.

I heard all the hype for this game, put it into my GameFly queue, played it for about an hour, stuffed it back into the GameFly sleeve and back into the mailbox.
