Pokemon preorders reach 533,000

It was merely raining Pokemon here at Infendo yesterday, but today the sky is opening up a torrent of Pokemania that looks to take over the U.S. A dangerous flood of Pikachu, Bulbasaurs and Jigglypuffs is imminent.
To pimp this publicity for all its worth, Nintendo fired off a press release today touting some impressive pre-order numbers for the DS titles, Diamond and Pearl.
With the new games set to be released on April 22, pre-sale figures are twice as large as they were for previous releases Pokemon FireRed and Pokemon LeafGreen, which have sold 3.4 million units between them in the US since being released in 2004, according to Reuters.
Impressive. Most impressive. They should, like, make a movie about this or something.

I didn’t get Super Paper Mario precisely because I am getting Pokémon Diamond the day it comes out…

Pokmon is one series that is never going to die! I’m in high school and seniors, juniors, sophomores, and freshmen alike are all talking about this game and how it’s coming out this Sunday in the States! Moreover, I’m sure gamers in their 20s, 30s, 40s, and even older than that are looking forward to this gem (no pun intended) of a game!

Yep.. I’m 20 and have been with the series ever since it started and I definitely want this game. Too bad my DS is out of commission.. still.. Probably just pick this up just in case.. But I’ve got .hack//G.U Vol 1. Rebirth to keep me occupied until I get it though..

Now there’s 533,001 people! Yeah I reserved mine today, AND THEY LET ME1! W00T!!!1!!111!! I got both the stylus and the stylus holder, but on the box it says “reserve both”… oh well. (If you want both, go to game crazy)
