I’m going to wait to see the reviews of Alien Syndrome before I rent it :)

Alien Syndrome seemed like a cool concept initially, but it quickly began to lose its appeal once more information began to leak. For starters, the view is similar to that utilized in Marvel: Ultimate Alliance for Wii: a top-down third-person perspective. I really dislike that angle, and the gameplay mechanics that it presents. And secondly, the game looks terrible visually…I’m not necessarily a graphics whore, but there is no reason for Alien Syndrome to look as bad as it does. That’s just lazy development and I will not support that with a purchase.

It is a bit disappointing, because I wanted to like this game. I tend to only play/buy original video game IP, such as the Alien Syndrome franchise. But it just looks to be an unfortunate stinker. Maybe the reviews will change my mind…but I’m not optimistic.

Escape From Bug Island looks to be another “poopsky” title, unfortunately.

I have my copy of Mario Strikers Charged reserved. I will be picking it up next week, no doubt. The first game was one of the most addictive GameCube sports titles, easily…and the multiplayer was a blast. I am expecting even bigger things from the all-around improved sequel. Buy this game.

Could it be that Alien Syndrome had to be rushed to beat the Metroid Prime 3 release??

I was intrigued by this title when I saw it first, but now I think I’ll have to reserve my purchase until I see some screens and some reviews…

Escape from Bug Island may end up being the worst game of this generation.

So, I visited the SEGA site for Alien Syndrome, and I must say the game doesn’t look half bad…

I think its problem is that the artwork in the marketing campaigns makes it look like a FPS much like a Metroid Prime, when in reality it is more like an Action RPG.

The story looks like your average Aliens type, but being applied to an RPG makes it interesting. Then again, the bird’s-eye view seems more suitable to a handheld than a console, and I’m sure this game will look better on the PSP than on Wii. The graphics aren’t bad, either, considering the point of view. It reminds me of a better-looking version of Scurge: Hive that came out for the GBA a few months ago.

If I remember right they ported alien syndrome to the will from the sps, so that’s why it looks like ass.

I just bought RE4 and Deathly Hallows last week, so i’m going to be holding off on buying anything till that nice week in August; the week of Samus. :)

It doesn’t look bad… for a handheld game!

Been holding out for Mario Strikers since I picked up RE4. Alien Syndrome had me really interested at first but now it may make Bug Island look good.

Scurge: Hive for DS > Alien Syndrome for Wii
