Nintendo attending PAX 2008

Our elite group of Infendo Ninjas just returned to the underground lair with some good news. Nintendo has confirmed that they will be present at the 2008 Penny Arcade Expo. At this time we do not know exactly what titles will be playable, but my guess is the same games you saw at E3 2008. PAX 2008 will be running August 29th-31st. Be sure to keep checking with Infendo for all developments at this event.
Will you be attending? This means more Wii Music…

Ok Nintendo, so E3 isnt the show to show off the goods anymore… will this be it?

This seems like an event more geared towards gamers than E3 so this would be the perfect time for Nintendo to drop some huge titles on us. Playable Pikmin 3 and Kid Icarus!!! And storage solution revealed. Make it happen Nintendo! Make it happen!

just moved from seattle to boston, so i’ll miss it ;-(
on a related note, i couldnt get my ds to connect to the online service at a mariners game- is there something special you need to do to get the connection?

Everything Nintendo has said regarding their E3 showing is that the format of the show was to promote their blue ocean-y strategy, show off new peripherals, and appeal to the investor, business type crowd.
PAX is the perfect opportunity for Nintendo to do something different and deliver the type of news that the people who play their games rather than invest in their stock want to hear. They’d best deliver or all their talk of E3 simply being the wrong place to appeal to gamers will seem extremely shallow.

Will be interesting to see how this all pulls off. I guess people who’ve purchased a console for themselves will really be eager. I’ll keep my fingers crossed

Okay, why would Nintendo show the same games from E3? We don’t care about them, and they know that — they apologized to us after all. So what would Nintendo get from showing them at Pax? More hate? Thinking logically, Nintendo is going to show us some good stuff and get us back on their side before we sell our Wiis. Unfortunately logic and Nintendo tend to have trouble mixing. Money and Nintendo, however, flow nicely.

What ever happens. But seriously this is going to be another reason for hater to complain watch. Hell kid icarus could be shown and rock and High voltage could become a 1st party but every one would say all of that sucks because nintendo is making money off casual gaming LOL.
