New Nintendo DS colors just in time for the holidays

Starting Nov. 23, Nintendo gives the holiday season a fresh blast of color with the launch of two special-edition Nintendo DS bundles. Each pairs a custom-color Nintendo DS system with one of the platform’s hottest titles. The new Gold edition comes with The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, while the Metallic Rose Nintendo DS comes with the “Best Friends” version of Nintendogs™.

I hope they’ll release this bundle in Europe as well.. was so tempted to pick up a new DS today.. and the Zelda game.

I was considering getting the Brain Age2 pack for the red and black DS Lite, even though I have the original DS. Now that they have a golden Zelda DS Lite, I really can’t decide. Maybe DS Lite needs faceplates or something, b/c I want both!
I do have two GBA SP’s. One was a gift: the NES edition. Financially, it makes no sense, but this combined with Black Friday is going to bring N some serious dough if people buy second/third DS’s.

Nintendo, I have lost all respect in you, to mess your “quick to buy hard core fans” over with this new bundle. No one cares about the nintendogs, but the Zelda DS, thats just plain disrespectful.

Dude, they can tatoo the triforce in the Nanny´s(Fran Drescher) forehead, and it would not look tacky at all hehehe.

I traded in my silver GBA SP just 3 weeks after getting it so I could get the gold Zelda SP that came with The Minish Cap. The same shall happen with my DS lite. I WANT THAT DS O_O

Seems as if the MSRP will be $149.99 (though I didn’t track that statement back to Nintendo).

I want that zelda bundle, but I don’t actually want Phantom Hourglass. I wish i could trade it for another DS game, but I know it’s not possible to do such a thing (in stores anyway).

Oh geez….I guess I’m going to pawn my White DS Lite at Gamestop…and get myself the bundle……it looks oh so good….but why do I want another if it does the same thing……but…..it does come with the Phantom Hour glass and does look SUPER awesome……and it’s ZELDA……

I just bought one of the last Brain Age bundles at one of the local EB’s I was able to grab one, and the week after like always a new one comes out. I just might have to trade the crimson/black in for the gold really just for the zelda insigmia. I even have an original DS and i bought the crimson/black for Zelda cause its just so much more compact.
