I just checked out video for Blast Works. That should be a wiiware game. I wouldn’t think to pay $50 for it. but I’d seriously consider it for 1500 Wii points

Blast Works is priced fairly. This game has one of the most extensive editors in any game, period. You can litteraly make your own Blast Works. Also it has a comprehensive online hub for uploading and sharing your creations. If you have any interest in user-created content or game design in general then this game is an absolute bargain.
Beyond that, Blast Works has an original singleplayer game along with 2-4 player co-op. As a bonus, there are 4 classic PC shooters (TUMIKI Fighters, rRootage, Gunroar, and Torus Trooper) developed by independent developer Kenta Cho. as bonus unlockables. (TUMIKI Fighters served as the basis for Blast Works and is still playable as freeware.)
Is it just me, or should certain people play games before commenting on their price?

People gripe about the price of shooting games like Blast Works all the time, personally I think they just don’t get the genre. Sure the game itself is rather short, but there’s way more to it than just beating the game, which on it’s own takes a long time to do if you aren’t credit feeding.

whats with people always thinking everything should be wiiware these days.
blast works is way more then even xbla could handle size wise. its bigger then shooter haters give it credit for, as usual.
its worth the price and worth being on disc. stop disrespecting games by saying they all need to be for wiiware. just dont buy games if you dont like them.
if you think the games only worth $15 you really arent that interested in it, so why force yourself.

After watching the video, I really like the idea behind Blast Works, but the game itself just doesn’t do anything for me. I hope they develop other kinds of games with this kind of uploadable / downloadable content. I can think of a lot of great uses for this kind of thing.
The rest of the games this week don’t get me very excited either. Hopefully tomorrow we’ll see a great VC / Wiiware title or two.
