Dr. Mario weighs in on universal health care

The other day, Nurse Toadstool and I talked in the break room over reheated mushroom casserole. She appeared sad. She mentioned turning a Goomba away because his health insurance wouldn’t give him enough gold coins for treatment. Then I realized why the same viruses continue to appear again and again. Each time we turn a patient away for financial reasons, not only are we denying care to the poorest creatures, who often need it the most, but we’re putting the disease back into the world, where it continues to spread. Furthermore, the patients I do treat get hooked on my expensive medicine. Mushroom Kingdom’s health-care system has turned into a sick, addictive game.

Why is Infendo getting so political lately. Im really getting annoyed with Infendo writers using Nintendo to try and push Obamas agenda.

I think they were posting something they found funny on another site, ninjaluke.

No offense, but I prefer Infendo stay away from political issues. Even though this is *technically* game related, this is a pretty thorny topic here. Please here my plead, and post no more political related topics.
P.S. I say this because otherwise the comments easily turn into flame wars filled with empty rhetoric and argumentum ad hominem.

@ HyperSonic – Yup, pretty much. I honestly am not a very political person, I just thought this was a clever piece with funny correlations in the Nintendo universe of games.

@ ninjaluke84,
HyperPhazon:
WTF? It’s called satire! It’s not even remotely a political issue. It’s Dr. Mario talking about the Mushroom Kingdom’s broken medical system.
I laughed my butt off reading this, David. Thanks to you and Jack for posting this!

@ everyone who seems to be offended by my original post
I dont know what I was thinking. This is hilarious and doesnt have anything to do with the universal health care that Obama is trying to push upon the U.S. I guess I just thought that I had seen a little more political postings with Nintendo tie ins on Infendo than the other game sites I read but I was probably just confused.

Keeping our body fit and healthy has a lot to do with what we eat. We need to eat healthy and for this, we need to eat healthy or in other words, we need to have a nutritious diet. For this, it is necessary that we consume foods that are rich in protein and carbohydrates that not only help us provide energy for our daily activities but also help strengthen our muscles and build our body.
