Does he have a name?

That 3DS commercial does feature a Nintendo character after all–a brand new one! Personally, I can’t wait to see this guy bursting out of my coffee table. But, does he have an official name? If not, I vote for “Cuddles.”

Is it possible to put the AR card on a friend’s chest and recreate the dinner party from Alien? Does Bowser have some competition? And is anyone else looking forward to this AR game as much as I am?

I second that vote for Cuddles.

Yes! Just tape the card to their shirt or shaven chest!

    Does Bowser have some competition?

No! He doesn’t have arms (as far as I can tell) so he can’t steal the Princess.

And is anyone else looking forward to this AR game as much as I am?

Yes! It’s dumb, easy fun, but very very cool.

It does look like a lot of fun. Very much looking forward to trying it out. I wonder if in-store game demos will have the option to try AR games?

Can you take snapshots of the AR game with the camera? Can the 3DS capture 3D video, or just pictures? The thought of making 3D movies with AR cards is pretty compelling, but it sounds too good to be true.

ALL of the AR games have “Cuddles” by the way. Not just Target shooting. Check out Nintendo3dsblog.com’s posts.
