@ Noremakk: I’m pretty sure there isn’t a release date for the U.S. yet, though I can’t imagine it should be far behind the Japanese version since, you know, it comes pre-translated and everything.
Anyway, to say I’m excited about this game would be an overstatement, but I’m intrigued. I’m not even sure how the game is played. I mean, there’s shooting and running and…well, C.P.R., which is something I think most games sorely lack. ;D
I heard someone else say that and I don’t remember who, but I have to reiterate: the game seems to have a bit of a Metal Gear feel to it, which I think is a good thing.
Can’t wait for some actual reviews of it. Hope it doesn’t suck.
Seems like it has a of cutscenes, looks pretty awesome though, I’ll definitely be picking this up come October 24th!, After seeing this, I’m gonna make me a pre-order this weekend.
Yeah, I’ll go ahead and say I’m looking forward to this. The gameplay might be really fun or might just be mediocre, but it looks like it’ll be a fun ride if nothing else. They’ve clearly put thought and time into the production values and the setpieces, and seem to have given it a feel very different from anything else on the Wii (though very similar to MGS, as Andrew notes).
Yeah, I agree with Eric. There definitely isn’t anything quite like this on the Wii (if you don’t count stuff like RE4:Wii). I just hope you don’t play through it like Dragon’s Lair .. “Do what the instructions say! Now enjoy a cut-scene!”
The story seems cheesy but this game still might be worth it. I definitely intend to at least rent this game if not buy it if the reviews are good. Hopefully it won’t be filled with random minigames. From watching a video though it seems that you’ll be unplugging the nunchuk for the driving sequences, which might get annoying, unless they allow for driving via the nunchuk stick.

“How much time is left?”
“I’d rather not say.”
Aah, cheesy goodness. When does this come out in North America, anyways?

What, and Metal Gear Solid _isn’t_ cheesy?
“Snake, can love bloom on a battlefield…?”

It looks like it’s fairly cheesy, but all the events with motion control. Cpr, driving, etc, will probably make it pretty intense at parts.

Story looks rather generic and cheesy. Still definitely a rent first for me.

As a Metal Gear Solid Fan, this video was only one bandana short of being:
SNAKE, SNAKE, SNAAAAAAAAAAAKKKEEEEE!!!!!!!!! (Metal Gear Fanfare)
Looks fun, maybe a rental
