Derek boasts an impressive journalism pedigree.  He has been a pupil of the craft since his high school years, when his extensive seven-year journalism and writing curriculum began.  He was his high school newspaper’s youngest editor-in-chief ever, and he recently graduated from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and political science.With a passion for video games dating back to his childhood and aspirations for a career in professional gaming journalism, Derek joined Infendo in Sept. 2007 as a staff writer.  He has since written several feature articles and news posts concerning all things Nintendo.

Derek lives with his girlfriend Stephanie in the beautiful Steel City of Pittsburgh, PA.  He maintains his own personal Web site called Stalemate.
