Thornton, Hopper to voice Deadly Creatures

THQ has proposed an interesting new games development theory; quality is equal parts gameplay, graphics and Billy Bob Thornton.
The publisher released today a new trailer on IGN for Deadly Creatures revealing actors Billy Bob Thornton and Dennis Hopper as two of the game’s primary voice actors.
The grisly new trailer showcases Thornton as he warns, “Greed can poison a man’s soul, turn him into something he ain’t, turn him into something deadly.” Two men are then shown digging in the desert, voiced by Thornton and Hopper.
An original action-thriller starring violent insects in a desolate world, Deadly Creatures is scheduled to release Dec. 22 exclusively for Wii.

hmm, dennis hopper is great. Even in the Mario Bros movie.
But Dec 22 is not a good date for a US release.
I hope it does well.

UGH! Well it’s nice to know where some companies priorities lay… not in clean code or months of polish, but rather in paying these tw*ts for studio-time.
Of course in the end it’s actually we (gamers) paying their rates.
Keep Hollywood out of Gaming (works vice-versa too!)

Actually, the game looks pretty polished, too.

Dec 22? I fear that the game’s going to get lost in the Holiday shuffle, being so close to Christmas and all.
Personally, I’d hold off until late January or February to allow the game to stand out a bit from the crowd.

Dennis Hopper is a busy man of late. He seems to have a lot of films coming out and events to attend. I just got his voice on my GPS from Navtones.com. Is there anything this man can’t do?

I’m excited for this game. Love the overall tone of the trailer. I don’t see anything wrong with having big names do voice work in games. I think if THQ are willing to pay for these guys, maybe they are planning to back the title in a big way.
