Deadly Creatures gets delayed til 2009

Wednesday, December 3rd, 2008 at 7:45pm by Will

According to IGN’s Matt Casamassina apparently THQ’s new and exciting Wii game Deadly Creatures is going to be delayed til sometime in February 2009.

This marks the second delay for the game, originally set for an October 31 ship date and then repositioned for a mid-December release.

Deadly Creatures was set to be a December release that was going to give us that extreme bug fighting game that was sure to be an unappreciated gem. From what we know already, Deadly Creatures has you playing as a scorpion and a tarantula, battling against other arachnids and insects. It’s promisingly dark story continues to unearth a deadly plot involving man. The game is said to push the Wii’s capabilities visually. The voice cast will include Billy Bob Thornton and Dennis Hopper, whose characters are looking for something buried in the desert.

Well, if it means getting rid of any possible bugs in the game (no pun intended), or perhaps even improving the graphics or game play, then I don’t mind waiting an extra month or two.

Yeah, make it the best product you can guys. I think it is an interesting idea and I hope people at the least look into this game.
I remember a game that could have used a few extra months in development to improve visuals, controls and menus…not mentioning any names…red steel…..

Shame the game isn’t ready – it looks like a really interesting title, and definitely has potential – but I agree with what people above said: I’ll be happy as long as they take as much time as needed to deliver a well-polished product. Wii sees to many rush jobs already, so it’s hard to complain about delays if they actually make a game better.
