Gah, I’m a bad influence on my parents. My mother has a GBA SP, although I admit she rarely plays it. My stepmother, though, wow. I got my father into gaming, and over Christmas ‘07 he bought a 360. He and my stepmom just finished playing Halo 3 together the other day. She showed interest in GTA, so I bought her GTA3 for Mother’s Day. …I know. Crazy.
My mother has and old Kiwi Green Game Boy Color that I used to own. I gave it to her when I bought the original GBA back in 2001. The only kind of games she plays anyway to these days are puzzle games like Yoshi, Yoshi’s Cookie, Dr. Mario & Tetris DX. I really want to get her Tetris 2 for the original Game Boy if I could EVER find one.
Oh yes. She’s a proud DS owner herself, and is big into MMORPGs - especially Everquest & City of Heroes.
I’m also a mom btw Happy Mom’s Day to all the moms out there, gamers or not!
My mom played ms. pac-man way back in the day. Never played anything since until 2 years ago I let her play Brain Age on my DS Lite….she went out and bought a Lite, Brain Age and a couple other games the same day. She still plays it fairly often and has quite a few of the Touch Generations games.
My mom won’t put Brain Age 2 down since she bought my dad a DS for Christmas. Ever since she discovered the Virus Buster game… (Both of my parents were big Dr. Mario players back in the day…)
The only game I think my mom has played of her own free will was the first Brain Age, she also likes some of the Wii Sports. I’ve forced her to play other games with me, but her eyes usually glaze over… she tries to humor me and for that I’m very grateful. She also listens when I go on about new upcoming games I’m excited about. So happy Mother’s Day to my great mom and all the other gaming or non-gaming moms out there!
Funny thing we were discussing my Dad’s obsession with a game we had for my Tandy Color Computer 2 WAY back in the day… he was so addicted he smashed it with a hammer to break his habit. I always wondered where that game went.
I don’t remember the name but you had to use the joystick to draw circles around various items that popped up on screen like roller skates and yo yos.. but if they moved and touched the line you drew, you were out. He played that thing for HOURS.

My Mom digs karaoke games, that’s about it.
