No More Heroes Wii

Next year’s sequel to the original No More Heroes will be the last on Wii, according to series creator Suda 51.

“I think this is the last NMH that is going to be developed on Wii,” Suda told Edge. “To expand NMH to new possibilities, we need a new platform. Wii is a great platform, but we’ve done everything we can with it now.”

Shortly after Microsoft demoed Project Natal last month, Suda expressed interest in developing for Xbox 360.

Next Zelda not a departure for the series, Miyamoto seemingly assures

Zelda Twilight Princess

How will the recently announced Zelda Wii game play? More of the same, that is if out of context quotes from Shigeru Miyamoto are to be believed. “I don’t think it’s going to be that radically different,” the Zelda creator reputedly told Nintendo Power, by way of Aeropause. Great news for Twilight Princess fans hungry for more levels. Not so great for fans looking for the next Wind Waker or Minish Cap. Assuming his quote is on the money, of course.

Sega “considering” next mature Wii game

Sega is BFF with Wii. At least that’s what one managing director for the company says, after releasing three core titles on Wii (Overkill, MadWorld, and Conduit).

“House of the Dead: Overkill was a profitable title for us,” revealed Gary Dunn, MD of European development for Sega, speaking exclusively to GamesIndustry.biz. “Whilst MadWorld commercially didn’t sell what we were expecting, I wouldn’t say it’s game over for mature Wii titles from Sega… We’ve got money to invest in development, we’re just considering where to invest it next.”

Sega does what Nintendon’t.

Early call: I’ll be surprised if Wii Sports doesn’t end up as the greatest game this generation

I played Wii Sports Resort last month. It’s awesome. I think Wii Motion Plus is awesome, and the next step in motion control games. And yet, I fire up the original Wii Sports today, while researching a story I’m working on, and I’m still blown away by how “magical” the experience is; how responsive bowling, tennis, and to a lesser extent, golf controls are, even in light of Motion Plus.
