Line Rider 2: Unbound coming to Wii and DS
Friday, April 25th, 2008 at 2:46pm by Jake
The famously simple PC flash game Line Rider, will be heading to the Wii and DS platforms sometime in Q3 2008. Developed by inXile Entertainment, Line Rider 2: Unbound allows you to use the Wii remotes IR sensor to flawlessly draw a 2D, downhill, mountain slope to send your character flying. The DS version uses the exact same concept but obviously has you using the stylus to draw your maps.
As of right now the DS version allows you to save and share custom maps with friends, but whether or not the Wii version allows it is still unknown.
DS gameplay
This is one of those titles that would work best as a Wiiware download instead of being stuck as disk based. Here’s hoping the “new” features offer up enough worth for a purchase.

Lost Winds WiiWare gameplay footage
Wednesday, April 16th, 2008 at 2:12pm by JackLost Winds isn’t a WiiWare launch title, but it should be. This gameplay footage was the first I had seen for the title, which received across the board praise from every journo who attended Nintendo’s recent media summit event. Call me late to the party for that all you want, this one still looks like a keeper (better than some existing Wii games, IMO).
Super Mario Theme played by RC car on wine bottles

The ol’ “too much time on your hands” versus “wow, that’s pretty intense” debate rears its ugly head again with this clip of an RC car playing the Mario theme on wine bottles.

Wii hack maestro Johnny Lee at TED
Monday, April 14th, 2008 at 9:47am by JackTED was last month, but this video of Wii savant Johnny Lee went up last week/over the weekend. It’s cool stuff, but the really neat part is how inexpensive the setup is–especially compared to the thousands professionals spend on similar technology. Like Lee says in the video, you pay a mere fraction of the cost of a “real” rig and get 80% of the functionality. If that means a poor schmuck like me can play 3D head tracking games on the cheap, that’s fine by me.
Deadly Creatures gameplay looks intriguing
Monday, April 7th, 2008 at 11:13am by BlakeThe absence of speech sounds abnormally quite, but it could heighten the experience. Looking good, me thinks, if only for being different.
Last Smash Bros. video, promise
Friday, March 28th, 2008 at 9:12am by JackConsider this post an end note for the Super Smash Bros. Brawl propaganda coverage. It’s Al Gore’s Current TV covering the Brawl launch in Burbank. Leave your thoughts on the game–now a few weeks old–in the comments. How have Infendo’s Thursday night brawls been for you? Have online issues subsided? Who’s unlocked everything? (screen or it didn’t happen!)

Guitar Hero DS: On Tour shreds to 11 with new grip
Wednesday, March 19th, 2008 at 4:06pm by JackSure, Blake, Guitar Hero 3 may be the best online Wii game so far, but does it also boast the best accessory ever? I think not! The DS does, and you can see in action in this campy Guitar Hero DS: On Tour YouTube commercial!
Mario Kart Wii footage is all about the splits!
Thursday, March 13th, 2008 at 10:49am by JackSome new Mario Kart Wii footage. Nice splits, Peach!
Mario Kart Wii hands-on with X-Play
Saturday, March 8th, 2008 at 10:31am by JackX-Play gets some hands-on time with Mario Kart Wii. It’s a bit awkward to watch them play the game in real time, but that’s what half the fun of any Wii game is all about, right?

Mushroom Men Wii looks like fun
Saturday, March 8th, 2008 at 5:16am by BlakeWii TV Channel is worthless… useful?!
Friday, March 7th, 2008 at 9:46am by Jack
Some of the Wii Channels released thus far have been, in a word or two, slightly less useful than a urinal in the women’s restroom. The new Japanese TV Channel, which serves as a 3D TV Guide of sorts, however, might actually be one of the first that you’ll use on a regular basis (Japan only, but an interesting concept nevertheless).

Zelda: The Ocarina of Time, on a carrot

Alt Text is Zero Punctuation without the profanity; examines Link’s Weapons

But still very funny. “Link’s quiver capacity” comment FTW.
