Infendo reader, Brysson found a surprise on his doorstep today, a free Guitar Hero faceplate. It appears Activision is giving out free faceplates to customers that had their disks replaced due to the mono sound issue. It’s been a while since we’ve seen some good’ol customer service from a company besides Nintendo. Lets just hope they have enough to pass around.

Sure, Blake, Guitar Hero 3 may be the best online Wii game so far, but does it also boast the best accessory ever? I think not! The DS does, and you can see in action in this campy Guitar Hero DS: On Tour YouTube commercial!

Activision has announced Guitar Hero: Aerosmith for Wii. The game will feature Aerosmith’s greatest hits, as well as songs from celebrated artists that the band has either performed with or has been inspired by in some way. The title will be made available this June. Gamers will experience Aerosmith’s career, from their first gig to becoming rock royalty.  No word yet on whether the game will be bundled with a guitar or will be sold as a standalone addition to the series.

I just wanted to let everyone know that Activision issued another update to the Guitar Hero 3 mono problem today.

Remember, if you want a new disc, you’re going to be without GH3 for a week or two.

Remember that pesky Guitar Hero 3 mono sound issue? Remember how Activision said new discs were coming, but not until 2008? Well, today it appears as though that action is too late. In fine American tradition, someone has decided to sue Activision over the mono issue for “deceptive and unlawful” conduct by selling the Wii version of Guitar Hero III with the promise of Dolby Pro Logic. IGN has the first hands-on impression of Guitar Hero III on Wii. Though I’m pumped for Rock Band (not so pumped for its rumored $200 price tag), this $90 original alternative on Wii sounds very appealing.
