Are we still not to the point that we can take Reggie’s word on this? He says Metroid will be perfect. With a track record like the DS and Wii, why not go out on a limb and believe him? I can’t sleep at night waiting for this game. I haven’t been this excited about a new since the original release of Resident Evil 4. BTW, the Wii version is PRETTY. The Wii controls on the guns is intense, really heightens the sense of panic when you get totally surrounded or something. Also, there’s a really cool video preview of Umbrella Chronicles (can’t wait!). I don’t know if this is simply a video from last year’s E3 or anything, but I’d never seen it before. Kind of bridges the genre gap between Resident Evil and House of the Dead. Hopefully it’ll be a lot more fun than the last time they did a shooter adaptation of RE (anyone remember Resident Evil Survivor on the PSX?)…
I’d be all over this game if it wasn’t for one thing, the backtracking, that destroyed MP:2 and hunters for me.I couldn’t finish more than 60% of either game before I got so incredibly pissed because of all the idiotic backtracking it wanted me to do… Too bad since both games were visually stunning and had good controls…
I totally agree. I loved the action, boss battles, and puzzles in that game but there were too many points where you just got plain stuck and there would be no logical answer to get past the level. I would sit for hours trying different things only to read an FAQ and find out I had to back track and put item A in slot B and then shoot at point X on wall C to open door Y. I just got tired of it. I did hear, though, that the backtracking in MP3 makes much more sense and it seems a bit more action oriented (YES!) like MP:H. I still wanna sit down with my friend and rip through MP1 and MP2 in one night before the game comes out, but I still have high hopes for this game.

Reggie also said Twilight Princess wouldn’t be on Wii.
