This info comes from what appears to be a scan of the latest issue of Famitsu. Anyone excited about the possibilities of an Okami for the DS?

Well I am not opposed to it but the Wii Version was not impressive as I thought it would be considering the controls weren’t as responsive as I would of hoped. I hope it might actually use more of the DSi functions instead of the common DS hardware

They’ll get that celestial brush right some how.
Honestly, at the rate I’m going, I’ll probably be buying the Wii version soon. I just picked up No More Heroes this past weekend.
Man this industry moves on too damn fast.

I hated Okami. Didn’t have the patience for the 20 minutes long cutscene only to be presented with slightly-better-than-average gameplay. Nice artstyle, though.

Wow, this is exciting to me! I really enjoyed Okami (played it for the PS2 so the cutscenes were unbearably long yet unskippable in that version), and I’m happy to hear the possibility of it coming to the DS.

The graphics concern me, as I thought they were beautiful on the Wii, considering the waterpainted style. Obviously this’ll help the Celestial Brush, but I’m concerned about how combat will be as well. I hope for the best for this amazing game.

I’ve still yet to play Okami, I keep meaning to buy it but it just never seems to happen.. I will at some point, definitely.
The screenshots of this game do look good though, I’ll keep my eye on it.

Didn’t Okami flop in the sales department? Either way this is pretty neat. I didn’t really enjoy Okami but maybe this means Capcom isn’t afraid to bring bigger franchises to the DS. I’d love to play some portable Street Fighter.

Well this is an interesting surprise. I never expected an Okami sequel after the first one’s relatively poor sales. Still, not going to complain though. I didn’t play much of the first one, but I still thought it was pretty fun.
