Many reports of buggy Guitar Hero World Tour equipment have been sighted around the net. Unresponsive drum pads, broken buttons, and dead foot peddles haunt a small percentage of retail boxes. Infendo has received a response from Activision Customer Support on what you should do if you’re instruments have malfunctioned…

The best course of action if someone is seeing something working incorrectly with their drums is to contact our support department. We’ll troubleshoot the issue with them and advise them what to do from that point forward. We do not recommend people seek a replacement through their retailer.

Not earth shattering, but it’s good to know the publisher has taken notice of the situation. Note: These small issues have been reported across all platforms, not just the Wii version.

Have you had any trouble?

You better not try by phone. It is all computer and they don’t answer anything that you really need to get help. The computer hanged up on me saying that i needed to find a place to buy red octain products.

It’d be really great if for the insane prices they charge for these things if they were made with at least a little higher level of quality.

My drum pad doesn’t respond well, especially the snare, which requires an all out smash just to get the dimmest response. I’m not gonna mess around with customer support though, Gamestop said they would give me a new one when they get them on Tuesday or Wednesday.

  4. My drum set has been fine so far. Here’s to hoping it stays that way.

I picked up My GHWT day one and the box was brand new, never been opened and completely sealed from the manufacture. Got it home set it all up. Whoops. NO game in the box! Called the store where it was bought (toys R us) Long story short I drove back and they had to open a Guitar box to get me a copy. How fast were they shipping these that some packer forgot to put the game in?

My snare, like many reports I’ve read seems to be the only one that requires a heavier hand. I loosened the ‘cap’ on the top which allows it to be a bit more flexible seems to help a bit.

    Lovin it all the same.

Both of the raised cymbals on my drum kit seem to need a smash as opposed to a tap. I turned the left one (hi-hat I think) towards me a bit and picked my arms up while playing and that made a big difference. not sure what I’m going to do about the right one (crash cymbal, if I’m not mistaken), but fortunately I don’t have to use that one much now since I’m only on medium :)

Some of my friends have said the drums are malfunctioning a bit; the red note is hit, but something else sends a signal elsewhere, resulting in the red note missing, and the multiplier is lost.

My drums are fine, but my guitar was registering false notes yesterday when I wasn’t even touching the buttons or strum bar. Turned out I had some fuzz or something on the touch sensitive slider. After wiping that off, it worked fine again!

No problems here: I bought Rock Band 2!

But seriously, you shouldn’t be so hard on Activision… Unlike Harmonix, this is the first time they’ve tried to pull this off.

    ;)

Here’s a thread to fixes I found on the internet:

I have the wII version and just played it tonight. The guitar works fine. The drums are okay except the orange cymbal needs to be hit harder to register a hit. I went to the activision support website and they have a way to get a drum tuning kit. You should check it out. I’m in the process of ordering one…

Sadly I don’t have it yet. But when I do get it, I hope it works!I’ve been seeing emoticons around here, how do you get them?
