Animal Crossing dated, renamed for Europe

Nintendo has announced the Wii version of Animal Crossing will release in Europe this December.
The company has also given the game a fresh new European subtitle; the North American “City Folk” tag has been dropped in favor of “Let’s Go to the City” for Europe.
Animal Crossing: Let’s Go to the City will release in Europe less than one month after reaching North American retail under the moniker Animal Crossing: City Folk.
Europeans waited two years for the GameCube version of Animal Crossing after its North American release in Sept. 2002.
It didn’t come to Europe until Sept. 2004.

I never got the gamecube version so it didn’t really effect me, I will be getting this though so it’s nice to know it won’t be long, this is going on my Christmas list for sure!

How come Europe (and here in Australia) end up with stupid sounding r less appealing modified Names or subtitles all the time? I’m pretty sure most europeans know what folk are.

Yeah, I just don’t understand the reasoning behind changing the subtitle for the game – anyone got an idea/reason why?

I’m from the US here. But seriously myself, why are you gonna change the name from City Folk to “Let’s Go To The City” for a new Animal Crossing game to come out on Wii. That’s just plain dumb and idiotic! The 2nd thing that’s stupid is that why do you delay the game a month to December instead of having it ship the same time on November 16, 2008 for Europe like how the US is getting it that day?

Why don’t they just keep the same name it always had?
After all, it IS essentially just the same looking and playing game since its origin back on the N64. Oh yes. Now with last gen voice chat!

WHY?!
This PAL title is utterly lame (plus it’s another game with a colon in the title = zzzzzzzz). I’m afraid I’m not excited about this game. I played the GC version to death, the DS version was more of the same, and the Wii version looks even more of the same. Groundhog daaaayy!
