June has a lot of things going for it. e3 starts next month, 3DS gets it’s first “must have” title, and the eShop finally launches for Nintendo’s newest handheld. Not to bad!

I always love revising old classics so the most exciting feature for the eShop, to me, is the virtual console support. As such, I would like to ask you, Infendo, what classic games are you hoping to be released on Nintendo’s virtual store?

For me, I can’t wait to play The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening for the Game Boy, and the two Game Boy Color Zelda titles, The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages. I have never played the Game Gear so I cannot attest to that.

What about you, Infendo? What are you looking forward to?

I think we can all agree that StreetPass is one of the most alluring features of the Nintendo 3DS. Unfortunately for me, I live in a small town with a population of about 2,000, and it’s an hour to the closest Wal-mart, and five to the closest mall. My count of StreetPass encounters to date comes to a total of…zero.

But I am glad to hear that many of our readers have been more fortunate than I. I’m interested to know how often it happens to you. If you’ve gotten hits on games like nintendogs+cats or Super Street Fighter IV: 3D Edition, let us know! I’m especially curious about that aspect.

I’ve enjoyed the recent discussions of 3DS here, pros and cons…even the criticisms from people who haven’t purchased it or even played the dang thing to any real extent yet. There are a few key points I’d like to make here about Nintendo’s new little wonderbox. Just let me take a second to brush some recently-thrown rotten tomatoes off its poor little shell…there we go!

Seriously, sometimes I wonder if other folks and I are discussing the same device. I hear words like “failure” and “disappointment” and all I can say is that I’ve been having a blast with an amazing little game machine that’s offered truly new experiences and an astonishing amount of fun. (more…)

A vocal number of readers have been down on us lately for collectively criticizing Nintendo’s recent behavior. Fear not, sensitive ones. This post is for you.

With all the talk of 3DS and its lack of games being pricey, what exactly did the 3DS get right, in your opinion? What do you most like about the system? In what ways does the handheld influence video games for the better (if at all)?

Let’s hear it!

In three weeks time, the world will know exactly (well maybe not EXACTLY) what Nintendo has in store for us for the next couple of years. By this time a month from now Project Café will be unveiled at e3, Nintendo will show the world exactly why the 3DS is a must have system, and in a first for me, I will be at the conference to share everything Nintendo with you dear readers. It has been 3 months since my inaugural Infendo post, and I would like to take this opportunity to give back to the community in the only way I know how.

When I take my journey to southern California, I would like to take you readers with me…sort of. In the comments section I would like the best questions you have for Nintendo. I will make a list of my favorites and pack them in my suitcase so that once e3 rolls around, if I happen to bump into Reggie or Iwata or even Miyamoto I will be prepared with the best question from the best Nintendo community on the web.

According to 3DS terms of service via Defective by Design:

Wow. Responds Defective by Design: “Can you imagine Canon or Nikon claiming the right to use pictures taken by you with one of their cameras?”

It gets worse. The onus is on you to ensure players under thirteen don’t use real names and take photos of themselves on the device. And sould Nintendo think you are in violation of their terms, they “will render your system permanently unplayable.”

Jeez, can the 3DS get any better?

Next time you walk into your local Best Buy make sure you bring your 3DS with you. Nintendo has just announced a partnership with Best Buy in which the retailer will provide access to “exclusive offers as well as additional entertainment content such as gaming extras and movie trailers.”

The part about gaming extras has got me listening. Could the service perhaps bring additional world to explore in the upcoming Super Mario 3DS title? Only time will tell!

This sounds great and all but wouldn’t using a service already on an existing home console make more sense? Just saying.

Hey! A little game to start off our Tuesday. What fun! Here it goes. It’s pretty simple: Guess the mystery company using the clues provided.

• Blame the customers for lower than expected sales.
• Fledgling handheld.
• Rumored $400 next-gen console.
• Ignore the competition, label it insignificant or kiddie or even dangerous to the industry.
• Use weird doublespeak and borderline lies in your press releases when things aren’t going well.
• Announce new hardware years in advance via a controlled press leak instead of making it immediately available to normal folks in intimate Ambassadors settings within people’s homes.

Did you say Sony, circa the launch of the PlayStation 3 or PSP Go? Wrong answer.
