Since you asked, I’m gonna cozy up to a little Trine, Picross 3D, Streets of Rage 2 on Virtual Console, and 3D Dot Heroes. Okay, I won’t get to them all. But I did want to name drop the games I plan on playing. Yeah, baby!

First, a disclaimer: before playing WarioWare D.I.Y. Showcase, I had never played a WarioWare game before in my life. However, I have to say that my first experience with this franchise was definately a positive one.

For those of you Pokemaniacs out there who are constantly searching for a good reference on evolution, stats, moves, breeding, and more, I highly recommend AAA Pokedex for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch. It’ll run you a couple of bucks, but its well worth it. The developer is also constantly updating it with new features.

Once a wholly owned subsidiary of Microsoft, the now independent Bungie Studios announced a 10 year publishing deal with Activision today. As you’ll remember, Activision releases games on all consoles, including the top-selling Wii, so it’s likely we’ll see a Bungie game on Nintendo hardware at some point in the future. It won’t be Halo, a game Microsoft retained. But it will be made by the makers of Halo. How does that sound?

If you’re a classic Nintendo collector, you may be familiar with “Hong Kong Originals,” and pirate cartridges – if you aren’t, it’s simple – NES, or “Famicom” development is alive and well in Hong Kong and Chinese black markets.  The result? Terrible 8-bit versions of popular properties, such the “Link to the Past” ripoff featured here – Zelda 3: Triforce of the Gods.  Elsewhere on the internet? You’ll find an Famicom version of World of Warcraft.

Just as some suspected, black Wii consoles are heading for store shelves on May 9 in the US and May 23 in Canada. The confirmation comes from a GameStop employee who received a monthly shipment from Nintendo containing a poster advertising a black Wii console bundled Wii Sports, Wii Sports Resort, Wii MotionPlus and a Wii mote for $199.99. Although the poster came with explicit instructions not to be displayed until May 4, the excited GameStop employee couldn’t wait to share his discovery with the Interwebs.

When the Wii was first unveiled as the Revolution many fans clamored to get their hands on a sleek black, or other colored, console. Interested in a monolith-like Wii? Let us know in the comments!

Okay, a handful of versus fighters have already released for Wii. But this one, developed by High Voltage, hopes to bring the genre front and center to Wii. Published by Sega and rated teen, the game is scheduled for release this May.

Thanks to a tip from Infendo reader Nick, we now know that Nintendo is uploading Mario Galaxy 2 videos on their YouTube channel every other day. The videos are short and cryptic. But they’re freakin’ Super Mario Galaxy 2! And who doesn’t want to see more of that?

This photo has been floating around the internet for several years now. I’m pretty sure we posted it on Infendo circa 2005. In any case, it is hands down the best Nintendo gaming dungeon ever. Whoever staged this deserves a gold star. Seriously.

Released last year on Wii, The Conduit was a generic shooter with great controls. I’ll let you decide if that’s worth your time or not. But that all changes with the Conduit 2, boasts Sega. This time the game will be 100% less generic!

When approaching art direction for Conduit 2 we’ve made sure never to build anything into our game that we ourselves aren’t completely excited about making.  And unlike the first game (which had limited concept art), practically every location in Conduit 2 was conceptualized, and then those designs have been scrutinized and reworked, until we truly believe that we are choosing the most inspired locations for our game. We’re designing spaces that players will want to fight in! And we’re not restricting ourselves to one city in a single part of the world. Conduit 2 spans the entire globe, and we have created far more interesting locations as battlefields for our game.

Noble intentions, yes. But that screenshot doesn’t look all that original.
