Score! Just received my first dogbone NES 2 controller care of eBay. Now if I could only transport my NES from my parents’ attic in Georgia to my home in Utah. In any case, this fella is ergonomic to say the least, more so than the SNES controller even.

    Agreed!

Wouldn’t it be great to have a SNES or [gasp] even the wii classic controller in this shape?

    Fun trivia:

There was also a SNES 2, which closely resembled the original Super Famicom. The Super Nintendo, SNES 2, NES, and NES 2 were all designed by a man named Lance Barr.

NES 2s aren’t very hard to find. I picked mine up at a pawn shop last year. But I’ve only seen pictures of the legendary SNES 2….

Correction: I said that that the SNES was based off of the design of the Super Famicom. It was actually based on the design of the Super Famicon Jr.

I’ve got four of these in a box on my Nintendo shrine shelf right now. These fit your hand perfectly! Brings back memories of long summer days filled with Super Mario World, and A Link to the Past.

NES 2, SNES 2. I never knew there was anything special about them until I hit the web. The Snes two is nice, but without the indicator light sometimes you don’t know it’s on.

When I was a kid I’d switch the channel over to pokemon while play Super Mario RPG or something else and forget the system was on.
